Irene Moroko serves as Managing Principal responsible for the overall operations. Irene brings 30 years of experience in commercial real estate within all asset types.
Prior to joining PKV Investment Management, Irene was Executive Vice President of Asset Management at CA Ventures responsible for building and overseeing the firm’s asset management platform. Irene spent ten years at Blue Vista Capital Management as Senior Vice President, Portfolio Manager where she built the asset management and portfolio management functions for the student housing platform and oversaw a portfolio of over 26,000 beds with a total capitalization of $1.6 billion. During her tenure with the company, Irene was responsible for the investment performance and strategy execution, investor relations and reporting, and asset management. Prior to Blue Vista, Irene was a Vice President at Equity Office Properties where she oversaw the pricing and portfolio analysis departments. Irene spent nine years at LaSalle Partners (later JLL) where she concentrated on office product and executed over 8 million square feet of investment sales. She also managed the valuation function for LaSalle Investment Management. Irene also held positions at Household International and Draper and Kramer.
Irene holds a Bachelor of Science in Commerce degree with a concentration in finance from DePaul University.
David Israel serves as an Asset Manager, overseeing a portfolio of nearly $400 million in investments across eight states.
Prior to joining PKV Investment Management, David served as Senior Vice President & Counsel for CA Ventures, a real investment, development and management firm, where he was responsible for all aspects of the closing process for all acquisitions and dispositions, including but not limited to, due diligence, contract negotiation, closing coordination and investor and lender relations. During David’s time at CA, he coordinated the closing of nearly $1.80 billion in new development transactions, equating to over $1.26 billion in new construction financing.
David earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Babson College. In addition, he graduated cum laude from Suffolk University Law School, where he was an editor on the Suffolk University Law Review and the recipient of two jurisprudence awards. David is admitted to practice law in Illinois and Washington, DC, and is a member of the Economic Club of Chicago.
Michael Weiss serves as an Asset Manager, overseeing a portfolio of over $250 million in investments across multiple states.
Prior to joining PKV Investment Management, Michael served as Senior Vice President & Head of Asset Management for CA Student Living, a real estate investment, development and management firm, where he was responsible for overseeing a $4.7 billion student housing portfolio consisting of 53 assets, over 26,000 beds and 526,000 square feet of retail/office space. During Michael’s time at CA, he was involved in over $1.3 billion of recapitalizations as well as $1.1 billion in disposition activity.
Michael earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Michigan as well as a Commercial Real Estate Analysis and Investment Certificate from MIT.
